Non-Fiction:

Dead Men’s Secrets by Jonathan Gray. This is a book that was lent to my by a friend. Its about a archeological theory that humanity was once more advanced than we are today. He catalogues various artifacts that don’t fit the typically accepted timeline. It’s kinda far out there, but it’s interesting and his presentation makes it seem plausible.

The Homesteading Natural Chicken Keepers Handbook by Amy Fewell. This is a detailed instruction manual for small scale chicken keeping from the lady who runs Homesteaders for America. Though many of the techniques in this book aren’t scalable to large operations, it contains some fascinating health information about chickens and some interesting strategies that I haven’t heard of before.

Fiction:

1984 by George Orwell. A dystopian classic, this book seems more timely than ever in terms of censorship and the popularity of socialism. I’ve read it before, but am enjoying the refresher.

Bible Study: I’m reading through the Old Testament, which is a feat I haven’t attempted since middle school. Just started 2nd Samuel, and am enjoying the exploits of the very-not-perfect King David.

Letters from a Skeptic by Dr. Gregory and Edward Boyd. This is a series of letters between theologian Dr. Boyd and his skeptic father,and presents an awesome intellectual argument for the beliefs of Christianity.
